Specialty Areas

I have experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds with many different mental health concerns. At Arise Counseling Services, I am available to help anyone who seeks out my services regardless of their age, history, and presenting problems. However, I do intend to specialize my practice to provide services to people who have been feeling depressed and stuck for months or years, as well as people with social anxiety and internet or video game addiction because I feel that I am able to understand and help these clients very effectively.

OUR MISSION

Bringing hope to the hopeless and joy to those who have lost their way.

I understand what it is like to be stuck, hopeless, and apathetic about the world around you, feeling shame for how you live and seeing no way out. I know how tempting it can be to just ignore these problems and the nagging feeling that you are not living up to your full potential. I know how unsurmountable the climb looks from the bottom of the chasm, but I want you to know that even the best climbers still must take one slow, careful step at a time.

Depression dysthymia symptoms

Depression/Dysthymia

Depression is more than just feeling blue or having a bad day. It is a serious mental illness that can have a profound impact on every aspect of your life. Depression can cause a wide range of symptoms, including changes in mood, sleep, appetite, and energy levels. It can also lead to problems with concentration, memory, and decision-making. Depression can make it difficult to function at work, home, or school, and can even lead to thoughts of suicide.

Dysthymia is a type of chronic depression that can last for years. It is characterized by a low mood, feelings of hopelessness, and low self-esteem. People with dysthymia may also have difficulty concentrating, sleeping, and eating. While the symptoms of dysthymia are not as severe as those of major depression, they can still have a significant impact on a person's quality of life.
